Making Knives

Have any of you ever wondered about making knives and other objects out of farrier's rasps? These are the files used to cut down the hooves on horses after trimming with nippers. It gets the hoof nice and flat and even, ready for the shoe. They are made out of good steel, at least the better ones are, and work well for making knives, tomahawks, and other useful items. I have been thinking about starting to make some things once I get the equipment to do it with.

I have saw some really nice jobs done by people on the internet, and I would like for you, the reader, to send pictures, stories, tips, anything that would help people that wanted to know more about this. This isn't just for my benefit, but for others as well. It could sorta be a place for people to share ideas and tips, to help each other out. All comments are welcome, and feel free to send pictures as well. And, as I get into this, I will do the same, share what I have learned and what I think may help others. So have fun with this, and check back from time to time as I will be updating this as I go. Thank you all and have a great day
